right into our marriage with the deep-seated, albeit hidden, belief that the other partner existed to make us deliriously happy. Not long ago, I was studying the 12 "one another" verses in the New Testament. Applying them to my marriage has greatly benefited our relationship, drawing us closer to one another—and closer to God in the process. Paul used a unique human-body illustration to help us understand that we need one another to function effectively (see 1 Corinthians 12:12-27). No member of Christ's body is more important than another. Proper marriage fellowship works the same way and creates unity. My husband and I are learning to recognize how we truly do complement one another. We spend more time appreciating one another's gifts and talents. I am a better person because of my husband. Application: Tackle household projects together as a team. Spend time getting to know your spouse better (trust me, there's always more to learn!). Recognize your spouse's spiritual gifts. Every day, encourage one another to use spiritual gifts. Devoted to one another (see Romans 12:10). Most families are devoted to one another—the family of God should be no different. This "family" concept that Paul talked about gives us a greater appreciation of what the church—and marriage—should be. My husband regularly expresses his love for me, even in front of his boss. You have to constantly live this way; there's no such thing as taking a break from it, and it doesn't matter how you feel from day to day. You must be consistent and always be prepared for GOD's coming. The Kingdom of GOD--the way of living so that you and the Spirit of GOD become One Spirit--will manifest in the appearing of the Messiah. It will come when people least expect it.   The problem is, people think they can manipulate GOD.....and if you think you can manipulate GOD, then you think you can manipulate anyone and everyone else. Most people don't FEEL like being consistent for the Kingdom of GOD; so they figure if they can predict when He will return, then they can live half-hearted for as long as they want, then get their lives together just in time before He shows up. The problem with that is: 1) No one knows when He is coming; He will come when people least expect Him. And when He shows up, you either have it together or you don't. And if you don't have it together, then you won't have time to get it together. 2) Some people are not guaranteed to live to see His coming. What if you are not doing what you're supposed to do, and suddenly die?  Now regarding the parables contained in Matthew Chapters 24 and 25, and the parable of the 10 virgins..... The Wise Ones are the ones who take the Word of GOD, apply it daily, and are consistent (even if they mess up, they repent and get back up.....they don't make excuses or justify doing wrong). Even when the issues of life and the problems of the world mock the Word of GOD, the Wise Ones still do what they were instructed to do. They refuse to compromise and listen to the world.....They know that Consistency is the key to Breakthrough, and it will be rewarded!!! The Foolish Ones are the ones who are taught--or mistaught--the Word of GOD, but instead of applying it to their lives, they figure they can manipulate their walk with GOD. They act out their Feelings--mean, jealous, cranky, disrespectful, etc.--and are the first ones to plead "The Blood, the Blood!!!". They sow discord in relationships, turning people against each other. But they're the first ones praising GOD the loudest during Worship services, or have WWJD bumper stickers on their cars. They are in positions of Power in the church NOT to help others, but to toot their own horns; they use and misguide people, and people get hurt--some even turning away from the Faith. The ones who are hurt and turn away from the Faith have not endured to the end. But these Foolish Ones will not take responsibility for how they hurt people. Then they show up for Prayer meetings with their noses up high, and pray the loudest!!! In tongues!!! Now when the Kingdom of GOD comes, the Wise Believers and the Foolish believers are still Believers.....but one group sought the Kingdom of GOD, while the other did what they Felt. So when the Kingdom of GOD manifests itself, there will be: 1) Wise Believers 2) Foolish Believers 3) Those who turned away 4) Those who didn't believe. The only group that will be prepared for GOD's coming is the group of Wise Believers. Why? Because they applied the Word of GOD and were consistent up to the moment of His return. The Foolish will try to ride the Wise group's coattail in order to make it into the Kingdom. That's when they say in the scripture: Give us some of your oil (Matt. 25:8)!!! But the Wise Ones said: You already knew He was coming--you just didn't know when--so you should've been ready. You knew you needed oil--you should've had it!!! But because He was late (verse 5), you were too busy wasting time and playing games. Now He has come, and you're not ready.....maybe you can get some oil together before it's too late (verse 9).  The Wise Ones were just being nice.....they knew it was too late when He showed up!!! That's why they're Wise!!! Because they knew they had to Be Ready. No matter when He came. And they still expected Him to show up, even though He was late. Still, the Foolish--because they think they can Manipulate GOD--think they can get something together at the last minute, so they can justify not doing what they were supposed to do yet still be able to make it into the Kingdom.....but guess what? When they got some oil together--when the Foolish decided to get their stuff together--the doors of the Kingdom had closed (verse 10). The Foolish knocked on the door, saying "let us in!!!"(verse 11). But they were told: I don't even know you!!! You didn't do what you were instructed; your disobedience while I was away said that You don't know Me or take Me seriously, either. So don't act like you know me now, because I finally showed up!!! (verse 12). (See also Matt. 24:36-51) As for the ones who were hurt and turned away.....because they didn't endure to the end, they miss out as well (see Matt. 24:13). The excuse that you turned from your walk with GOD because someone hurt you is not an acceptable excuse with GOD. God does not use sickness and disease, car wrecks, plane crashes, or anything tragic to correct or discipline you, or try to teach you a lesson. I mean, what kind of lesson are you going to learn if He puts sickness and disease on you, and you die? What was the lesson to be learned? You're dead! God has been grossly misrepresented over the years.God is a good God! Jesus referred to Him as “Abba Father” (Mark 14:36). The Word “Abba” describes an intensely intimate relationship with a father. And another thing, God doesn't have love; God is love! (1 John 4:8). His heart is full of mercy and compassion for you, not judgment. God loves you with an everlasting love (Jeremiah 31:3).Hebrews 12:5, 6 (AMP) says “Have you [completely] forgotten the divine word of appeal and encouragement in which you are reasoned with and addressed as sons? My son, do not think lightly or scorn to submit to the correction and discipline of the Lord, nor lose courage and give up and faint when you are reproved or corrected by Him. For the Lord corrects and disciplines everyone whom He loves, and He punishes, even scourges, every son whom He accepts and welcomes to His heart and cherishes.The Lord corrects, disciplines, and chastens everyone He loves. How? He uses His Word. He reproves with His Word; not with car accidents, sickness, or disease. The Bible says the thief, who is the devil, comes to kill, steal, and destroy; Jesus came to give you abundant life! (John 10:10). As Christian people, we cannot despise correction from the Lord. When you despise something, you have a strong distaste for it; it disgusts you; you scorn it; it even offends you. I've met Christians who have gotten offended when correction was brought into their lives through a Word of the Lord: “Well, I can't believe you told me that.” They failed to realize that the correction was intended to keep them from making a wrong turn, going down the wrong road, having a wreck, and then blaming it on God.
