Brian_Morache, 3 weeks ago| FlagThe book of Isaiah, besides being in the middle of the bible, attempts to address a serous problem that faced the nation of Israel. Just where does God exist? For them, God was within the walls of the Temple. So what do you do when that temple is destroyed?Where does your faith go when it's center is gone? This raises for us a question; is God merely at church? Or is He in every part of your life? Does he exist in the people of the church or in the building himself? Why do we call a church 'God's House'? Aren't we God's House? Isn't our home God's House? If not, then maybe it should be. Think about it.

Reflections of God
Why dog is God spelled backwards
A man named Paul once lost his dog named Tamika to old age. He was so very saddened as his dog had been his closest companion for many years. When Paul's time had come, he walked along the path to everlasting life. He came to an ornate gate, with a finely dressed man waiting there.
Paul then asked the man, "I have been redeemed by the Blood of Jesus and He is the only reason I may stand before you. May I see my dear dog here? His her name is Tamika."
"Oh, I'm sorry Paul," the man said with a bit of disappointment, but also with an annoying smile, "we don't allow such animals as dogs into heaven. And more so, we will have to see if you qualify to even be here. Not many do you know."
Paul frowned at the man, thought for a moment, and replied, "I guess this is not the place for me then. But thank you all the same."
The man then smiled at him, with a sick, condemning smile, “With your record, I think you shouldn’t even think of heaven. Not with the things you have done. You can try to live a good life, but you know where you really belong. Now leave me to my work. There are better people than you coming along.”
Paul walked along for some time until he came to another set of gates with a man dressed in plain white clothes. He had a smile on his face, but there was no air of superiority in it, the man was acting like he expected to see Paul.
"Sir, I am here only by the Blood of Jesus. I have no right to be here but by He who gave his life so that I might have mine. I have to ask, if it is allowed, may I see my dear dog here? Her name is Tamika and I miss her very much."
The man looked at Paul and smiled, "Jesus is the only way any of us can be here. Of course you can see your dog! As she waited for you faithfully on earth, she has waited for you faithfully here in heaven." With that, the doors of heaven opened and Tamika came running towards Paul, eager to be reunited with her companion.
As Paul was entering heaven, the man asked, "How did you know your first stop, which seemed more attractive, was not heaven?"
Paul turned and looked at the man, all the while embracing his dear companion, “Sir, if my dear friend, indeed if any dog was not in heaven, then it could never truly be heaven. For no other animal reflects the unconditional love of God as a dog does."
With that, Paul knew he was truly in heaven...
Brian_Morache, 3 weeks ago| FlagBeing a true friend means saying things that the other person would not like to hear, or even agree with, and knowing that, saying them anyway. That person should take such words in the loving spirit that they are given and respect you all the more for it. It's easy to be a friend when you are in agreement, but a true friend won't always agree with everything you say or do. A true friend will say, "What the (blank) were you thinking?" And they will continue to love you no matter what the answer is.
